If you aren’t bothered by winter weather, the best time to visit New York City is in January or February. I discovered that some of the nicest hotels in the city — like the Freehand Hotel in Gramercy Park — can be had at about 1/3 the price of what one would pay in the middle of the summer.
So, if you want to take a vacation or book a business trip to the Big Apple, take my advice and plan it for the beginning of the year!
