After a decade’s long ban by our city council, Montreal finally has some high quality and tasty food trucks. While they were seen around town last year in some kind of festival-induced legal limbo, they now have full status and spots throughout the city. Given that there are generally higher end and not the grey water carts of New York City, some have criticized them for being slightly elitist.
Generally, I’m happy with that they have to offer. The portions may be small (I had to order 2 burgers at the Winneburger truck since they are just slightly larger than a slider) but the food is fresh and tasty. I’m quite happy since my office is about a block from the Quartier Des Spectacles, so I will have access to these 10 new “restaurants” all summer long.
