In Tulsa to see the first Rush show of their R40 tour, we knew what we had to do with our first evening there: see a minor league baseball game. As much as I love going to see the spectacle that is MLB baseball, MiLB games have their own type of charm.
In addition to the park being smaller and so much more intimate, the AA experience was clearly family-focused. There was a sense that this was a community experience that was meant for everyone. At $15.00 a ticket for great seats and a friendly vibe, it was a perfect way to spend an evening, even if it did rain a little bit.

P.S. I got to meet their mascot, Hornsby!

Hornsby first migrated from the plains of Western Oklahoma, to old Drillers Stadium in 1996. After 14 seasons there, Hornsby now calls downtown home at ONEOK Field. Fans can look forward to Hornsby bringing down the house every night! Whether it’s one of his dozens of dance routines, or the kid’s favourite “Running With the Bull” every weekend, Hornsby never disappoints. (Source MiLB)
