Since I was attending this game by myself, I decided to sell my usual tickets and get something a bit less “in the action.” While I still had a really solid view right behind home plate, I was actually sitting in the last row of the 100s rather than six rows from the Blue Jays dugout.
What I discovered is that this was, in fact, a better place for me to enjoy the game. I had a better view of the batter’s box and could more easily see the balls and strikes. I liked that no one was sitting behind me, which can be hit or miss, depending on the fans. It also became apparent that I could get in and out of my seats during the game quickly and out of the stadium ASAP when the game ended.
If I choose to get season tickets again next year, this is the area I will aim for.
