While there were threats of rain all game long, nothing ended up coming down on us. Overall, the weather was pleasant and more bearable than the previous scorcher of a day. After some great 100-level seats yesterday, I decided to try for a more premium experience in the 200-level Redbird Club Seats right behind home plate. While I found a very good last-minute deal for the seat at $30.00 for a premium experience, the food and drink options in this section are not all that exclusive.
While much of the scoring today was on singles and sacrifice flys, Jesus Sanchez’s 10th homer of the year to tie the game in the top of the 6th felt like the Marlins last chance to catch up. Nolan Arenado’s double in the bottom of the 6th scored two — Dylan Carlson and Paul Goldschmidt — and put them far enough ahead for the win.
