Over the 2023 holiday break, I took a week-long trip to one of my favourite cities, Chicago, IL. Despite visiting five years ago, I was excited to revisit the Art Institute of Chicago.
The Art Institute never ceases to amaze me with its vast and diverse collections. Turning corners to suddenly encounter masterpieces like “La Grande Jatte,” “Nighthawks,” and “American Gothic” highlighted the depth and breadth of the museum’s collection. During my two-hour visit, I felt I was only skimming the surface, leaving me convinced that one could spend an entire day exploring. The Art Institute of Chicago stands not just as a must-see in the city but as one of the most impressive museums in North America.
