Jackie Robinson Day 2024
While the Yankees are always a tough division rival for Toronto, picking up a win today was big as New York entered the game with the best record in baseball. With Soto and Judge both hitless, the Blue Jays squeaked out a win on a series of walks and a Kirk double in the 3rd inning.
Blue Jays pitching was the story today, with Chris Bassitt solid through six innings and Chad Green and Yimi García and strong 1-2 punch to close out the 8th and 9th innings.
