Winter Arrives

Given that 48 hours ago I was walking through Central Park in Manhattan, revelling in the autumn colours and 18°c, waking up to 20cm of snow was a bit of an unexpected shock. With predictions coming in at more like 5cm of powder, I was not expecting our first full-blown snowstorm to turn up in the first half of November.

On the other hand, it was a great day to go for a walk. With the snow still crystal white and blanketing the city, it was nice to get the opportunity to trudge downtown and enjoy the adjusted scenery of my usual walk.
