1001 Albums…

You Must Hear Before You Die

I remember stumbling on this website a few years ago. Its idea is to offer up one album each day from the records featured in Robert Dimery’s book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. I tried it out but couldn’t get the habit to stick, so I abandoned it soon after.

The site somehow resurfaced at the beginning of 2024, and when I signed up on January 6th, I committed to listening to each album from beginning to end every day.

So far, I have yet to miss a day, and it has been a perfect complement to my morning walks to work. I have also, at the end of the day, written a short summary of my impressions of each album. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll start posting my reviews again with the hopes that someone will enjoy the summary and encourage some music-related debates.
