While Chris Bassitt’s first win of the season may not have been efficient, throwing 106 pitches over 6 innings, Baltimore was game to only scrape together one run from a series of opportunities. With Springer going to 2-4 with 2 RBIs, the start of his season has been strong, and adds a lot more depth to the Blue Jays lineup, and he has definitely been a key part of the start of the season.
Given how deep the two losses to the Orioles were, splitting the series feels like a lot more of an accomplishment than it seems.
