With Phillies fans chirping regularly online about the Phillies’ offense and specifically Bryce Harper, who was hitting way under expectations, tonight has his vindication. Heating up finally over the last few days, Harper got a hold of an Alcántara cutter and hit it 418 feet. It was his fourth home run in the last 10 games.
Zack Wheeler was also strong, giving up only two runs over seven innings. What was more striking was his 13 strikeouts with no walks, the most K’s by a Phillies pitcher since 2016.
