Jackie Robinson, Montreal, QC

I found this mural while going to see a friend on Christmas Day. The mural was in an alley close to where Jackie lived while he played baseball for the Montreal Royals before joining the Dodgers.

During that one amazing 1946 season, he hit .349 with a .468 on-base percentage. In 444 at-bats he had 113 runs, 25 doubles and 40 stolen bases. I wish I was around to see it.

Thanks Mark! I honestly didn’t think that anyone checked this website anymore. I pretty much only post for myself. 🙂
