As a part of Montréal’s 375th-anniversary celebration, the city got Nantes’ Les Géants Royal to spend three days here. Over the Victoria Day weekend, these oversized puppets visited hundreds of thousands of curious Montréalers.
I was skeptical about the expense of bringing these giants in from France. But after seeing the interest they’ve garnered, I’m happy that they were a part of the kick-off weekend.
