Over the summer of 2021, I decided to personally take advantage of the weekly Yoga class that we had set up for our team. I had started walking for exercise about a year earlier, and I felt like I needed to do a little more. Within weeks, I had fallen in love with everything that the class offered; strength, flexibility, focus and peace of mind I hadn’t felt in a long time (If ever). I even added another class over the weekend at Ashtanga Montreal, a great studio run by my teacher and friend, Jeanne Mudie.
Over the holiday break, I found myself wanting to do a short series of moves in the morning to get my day started. I aimed for nothing more than 15-30 minutes of stretching to feel strong and focused on whatever challenges were coming my way. I was searching for some online options to experiment with when one of my teammates at Plank mentioned that they were doing: Move: A 30 Day Yoga Challenge by Adriene.
So, I signed up and will start the first video tomorrow AM. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like to do a short routine every day, after everything I’ve learnt over the past six months.
