While the Blue Jays ultimately lost 5-4, they didn’t seem very competitive or in control of the game all night. While they started to chip away at Detroit’s lead in the sixth, they were never able to catch the Tigers.
Bowden Francis was not sharp tonight, giving up four earned runs through four plus innings. He hasn’t looked like the same pitcher he was in 2024.
Toronto has had some really great outfielders over the years, like Kevin Pillar and Kiermaier, who have made impressive catches. What Dalton Varsho tried to do today to rob Riley Greene of a home run was indescribable. What is this?
