With the Blue Jays winning my third game in a row, the only thought that came to mind as I left the park was, “Well, winning is fun!” With three games in a row with late-inning comeback wins, Toronto is playing some quality baseball.

Today’s win was not because of the team leaders, but the players who bring real depth to the team. Going 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, Alejandro Kirk was an instrumental part of today’s win, but no more so than Nathan Lukes, who had a clutch single in the bottom of the eighth inning to score George Springer and Dalton Varsho to take the lead.

While a bit shaky, giving up a hit and a walk, Jeff Hoffman managed to close down the ninth inning for the win.

I ended up sitting next to a couple from New Brunswick who were in town for the Guardians series, and they were quite nice and chatty. The gentleman sitting next to me drank a slew of Bud Lights, dropped his chicken tenders, and managed to get covered in ketchup. His slogan for the night was “Let’s go, buddy!” whenever someone did something he approved of.
