I decided to take a week off to travel without my MacBook Pro to the shock of myself and the Plank team. I was trying to say for the first time in a long time that I wasn’t going to be available for work. While that didn’t end up being entirely true — I checked in on a few things and answered some emails — I did, for the most part, turn off and enjoy myself.
The first part of my trip was spent with a good friend at what I have been referring to as King Crimson Camp, better known as Three of a Perfect Pair. During this week-long music camp session at Full Moon Resort, just outside of Woodstock, NY, we had the opportunity to listen to and play music with Adrian Belew, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto.
After a short road-trip back to Philadelphia, two evenings with friends and a Philadelphia Phillies loss to San Diego Padres, I was ready to head home. Instead, I ended up with an extra night in the city as my flight was cancelled, and I found an excellent last-minute deal at Le Meridien.
