Eric Clapton, Centre Bell, Montreal, QC

One of the most unlikely shows that I went to this year was Eric Clapton. While I was a fan of Cream when I was a teenager and the Derek and the Dominos album was a classic, I wasn’t spending all that much time listening to Eric Clapton in 2008. On the other hand, this was probably one of the last chances I would have to see him perform live, which I realized I’d never done before. So, I dragged along my co-worker and friend Nancy Beaton.

We both had a great time and while at times I felt like we were the youngest people in the crowd, Eric and his band did an amazing job entertaining the crowd. I’ll never forget how crazy the crowd went when they started playing Layla.
